Gus registers Carole and Tuesday for the Mars' Brightest talent competition. During the qualifying round, they encounter the energetic social media personality Pyotr and perform following several unusual acts. Tuesday feels discouraged after realizing her limited knowledge of Carole, but a conversation by the river with a friend restores her spirits. Both girls advance to the finals and encounter the press for the first time. Simultaneously, Angela also qualifies for the finals while her relationship with her mother grows increasingly distant.
