Music producer Gus, whose career has declined, convinces the girls to sign with him. A visit to a laundromat inspires them to create a new song. Carole, Tuesday, and Angela undergo dubious voice training separately, while Angela's mother Dahlia pressures her to continue. Roddy introduces Carole and Tuesday to sleazy star DJ Ertegun. He dismisses the idea of non-AI-made music, and the visit ends in disaster, but the girls remain undeterred.
