Ep. 3: Murao and Arata place first and second in Fukui while Mizusawa advances in Tokyo.
Aired on January 26, 2013

Murao and Arata secure first and second places in the Fukui tournament. Arata declares his focus is the national high school championship rather than the master qualifier. In Tokyo, the Mizusawa club competes in the regional team tournament, where Taichi and Nishida learn two schools advance to nationals. Nishida catches Tsukuba trying to replace Komano to impress his brothers. Komano proposes a lineup with Sumire in the first round and Tsukuba in the second. Chihaya wins both rounds by 25 cards. Sumire respects that Chihaya faced no belittlement for playing against boys. Ise calls Shinobu to confirm her registration in the high school individual tournament, noting Arata will also compete.
