Ep. 24: Hideki brings Chi to work where she wears a former employee's uniform

Hideki takes Chi to his workplace, where she mistakenly dons a uniform that belongs to a former employee. Ueda corrects her choice, but before she can change, Yumi spots her from outside the shop and flees in tears. Yumi previously worked at the store, and the uniform holds significant emotional weight. During her employment, she and Ueda developed romantic feelings for one another. However, Yumi discovered that Ueda had been previously married to a Persocom. Interpreting this as evidence that he viewed Persocoms as superior to humans, she resigned from her position at the bakery and ended their relationship. This backstory explains her distress upon seeing the uniform again.
