Youhei and Sanae go on a date accompanied by Tomoya, Nagisa, and Mei. Mei remains concerned that her brother is hopeless despite having a dependable girlfriend, recalling how he used to protect her when she was bullied. To provoke a reaction, Mei lies about meeting a romantic interest in the city. Tomoya later pretends to be this person in front of Youhei. Although Youhei is shocked by both the lie and the pretense, he remains silent. Unable to leave while the situation persists, Mei decides to stay for the time being.
