Youhei’s absence worries his friends and sister, prompting Tomoya, Nagisa, and Mei to visit the soccer club to request his return. Despite completing a difficult task of fetching balls, the team refuses to reinstate him. When the club leader bullies Mei, Youhei intervenes violently with Tomoya’s assistance. Following the team's departure, Tomoya and Youhei argue regarding Mei’s protection. Youhei eventually admits his concern, and the conflict resolves with Nagisa and Mei’s intervention. The next day, Tomoya and Youhei share a laugh on their way to school, where Youhei discovers Sanae is Nagisa’s mother. Tomoya then reflects on the circumstances of his initial meeting with Youhei.
