Ep. 34: Ko assists Takigawas with New Year's Eve soba delivery and meets Junpei Azuma
On New Year's Eve, Ko helps the Takigawas deliver soba and encounters Junpei Azuma, who forgot he was driving his brother home. Afterward, Akane returns a book to Ko, thanking him for helping her draw a winning picture for a competition. Ko, Akaishi, and Nakanishi visit a shrine for good luck, while Senda trails them to avoid practicing with Midori but fails to locate them. Meanwhile, Yuhei Azuma finds Aoba alone at the Tsukishima batting cages after her family went to the shrine. At the shrine, Junpei’s wallet is stolen; Ko and his friends chase the thief, who is eventually caught by Momiji's "candidate" boyfriend. In the cages, Aoba tells Azuma she will not try out for the women's national team to focus on helping Seishu reach Koshien, prompting him to encourage her to pursue her own Koshien dream.
