Ryner and Ferris end up stranded on the coast of Roland after getting lost at sea, where they briefly encounter Luke and Milk. The pair attempts to assassinate the king responsible for their suffering but fails. The following morning, Sion discovers Ryner sleeping in his bed after noticing a book fall from above the door. Despite Ryner insulting him as arrogant, Sion forgives him for the pain he endured.
