The En Family visits sorcerer Turkey, whose clone leads them to an abandoned apartment containing a rotting head. Noi heals the head, revealing it belongs to a Cross-Eyes gang member. Later, En attends a formal party to recruit a necromancer but kills her after discovering she uses illegal black powder. The true resurrection ability stems from a small cat-like creature hidden under the woman's dress, which En adopts and names Kikurage. Meanwhile, in Hole, Caiman and Nikaido visit a doctor to help Caiman find his identity. They become lost in the doctor's home and share an impromptu New Year's Day meal. Doctor Kasukabe joins them and reveals a magic door constructed from vivisected sorcerers, which provides passage to their world.
