Ep. 6: Nikaido’s Escape, Shin’s Sorcerer Past, and the Sewer Kidnapping
Nikaido evades Noi and reaches Risu, but punching En shatters his mask, triggering a mushroom-spewing magic outburst. Risu flees using his prosthetic immunity, while Nikaido is injured by a mushroom sprouting from her back, forcing Caiman to take her to Vaux. Vaux and Kasukabe recognize Shin as a former patient. Flashbacks reveal sorcerers were hunted in Hole; Shin’s boss alerted vigilantes after he leaked magic dust. Shin killed the vigilantes who tortured his father, then surgically exposed his magic veins, paralyzing his arms. Vaux and Kasukabe saved him, treating victims Shin dismantled with his new power. Kasukabe identifies Nikaido as a sorcerer due to her anatomy. Caiman finds Nikaido abducted and pursues the kidnapper into the sewers. The kidnapper, mistaken for Johnson by a giant cockroach, dies from blood loss after realizing crystalized magic beads are not gemstones.
