Midori suddenly collapses on the street during a rainy day and is hospitalized for an unknown reason. The Doctor informs Senbei that it is too late to save her through conventional means. Consequently, Senbei decides to shrink himself to microscopic size. He enters her body to attempt a cure from within. This action initiates the activities of Arale’s Micro Exploration Team as they navigate her internal systems.
