Senku discloses that the silver spear he crafted functions as a sensor to detect poisonous gases emanating from a sulfuric acid pool, which is essential for producing antibiotics. Acknowledging the severe dangers, Senku offers to impart all his scientific knowledge to Chrome in case he perishes during the mission. Chrome declines this offer and suggests a collaborative tag-team strategy instead. While the group collects the acid using specialized gas masks, Chrome almost falls into the hazardous pool but is rescued by Ginro. Overcoming his personal fears, Ginro assists the pair in successfully securing a bottle of the required acid.
