Ep. 101: Goku and Tien clash in the sky, leading to a controversial finish and a tragic discovery.

Goku hovers miles above the arena while Tien explains his Tri-Beam Cannon was meant only to knock him out of bounds. With no stage available and Tien capable of flight, Goku appears to have no escape. Goku retaliates with a Kamehameha wave, driving himself toward Tien as they plummet toward the surface. A car collision causes Goku to touch the ground slightly before Tien, resulting in the announcer declaring Tien the winner. The crowd rushes to the site, and Tien later offers Goku half his prize money, which Goku declines. Tien apologizes to Yamcha for breaking his leg and treats everyone to dinner. Before eating, Goku remembers leaving his power pole and four-star ball at the arena, so Krillin departs to retrieve them. During the meal, Goku feels uneasy and rushes back to find Krillin dead.
