Ep. 12: Goku transforms into a Great Ape after looking at the full moon while Pilaf seeks revenge

Oolong interrupts Emperor Pilaf’s wish for world domination by wishing for underwear, causing the Dragon Balls to scatter. Enraged, Pilaf orders Mai and Shu to execute Goku, Yamcha, and Bulma. The group is cornered by guard dogs but fights them off, reuniting with Oolong and Puar. They are captured and trapped in a glass room that heats up under the sun, threatening to burn them alive. As Goku and Yamcha fail to break the walls, Puar spots the full moon. Goku recalls his grandfather Gohan’s warning never to look at the moon, explaining that a monster killed Gohan, though Goku has no memory of this event. Goku accidentally looks at the moon and transforms into a Great Ape.
