Ep. 14: Goku seeks training from Master Roshi while Krillin arrives and Yamcha's group struggles through the wild.

Goku visits his home to collect his belongings before traveling to Master Roshi's island for training. Master Roshi agrees to teach him only if he finds a girlfriend. Goku first presents an unattractive girl, which displeases Master Roshi. He then attempts to bring a beautiful mermaid, but this effort also fails. Shortly after, a young boy named Krillin arrives by boat and asks for training. Master Roshi accepts his request after Krillin offers a bribe. He then orders both Goku and Krillin to go to the city to find him another girl. In a separate location, Yamcha's ship has crashed. Consequently, Yamcha, Bulma, Puar, and Oolong are compelled to trek through the jungle and desert on foot.
