As dusk settles, the final bout between Goku and Jackie Chun intensifies. Jackie hypnotizes Goku, rendering him unconscious until Bulma shouts that dinner is ready, prompting Goku to wake up. He attempts janken-based attacks, but Jackie blocks them until Goku feints with a rock throw. Jackie then unleashes his rare Lightning Flash Surprise, delivering 20,000 volts to Goku. Just as defeat seems imminent, Goku sees the full moon and reverts to his Great Ape form. Determined to stop the rampage, Jackie fires his most powerful Kamehameha wave. When the smoke clears, Goku has vanished, leading Bulma, Yamcha, and the others to believe Jackie killed him.
