Ep. 84: Krillin and Yamcha arrive at Papaya Island while Goku faces minor troubles before the tournament begins.

Krillin, Yamcha, and their companions check into Papaya Island, waiting for Goku, who is dealing with minor issues by his standards. The Crane Hermit and his two students, previously swindling villages with Inoshikacho, also arrive. Master Roshi reveals he and Master Shen were once friends. Goku arrives just as registration ends, and the group goes for a meal, with Roshi promising the owner payment from tournament prize money. That night, Krillin and Yamcha run into other contestants training. The next morning, Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha head to the preliminary round arena, where Master Roshi disappears and Jackie Chun appears.
