Goku arrives at a village to rescue Princess Misa, who has been kidnapped by a demon. The king, initially skeptical of Goku's success, recruits him after witnessing his combat abilities. As demons attack the village, the king escorts Goku to a portal the following day. Goku attempts to remove Shula's sword from the door but fails. Meanwhile, at Kame House, Launch irritates Roshi while Yamcha and Krillin train. Goku meets guards Gola and Maylay, who warn him about Shula's plan to marry Misa. Goku defeats an initial demon and surprises everyone by declaring his intent to fight Shula directly. He ultimately defeats Shula and escapes with Misa, aided by Gola and Maylay. Finally, Goku successfully pulls out Shula's sword and seals the portal.
