Bulma receives a call regarding a Capsule Corporation product and is sent a photograph of what appears to be Trunks' time machine. Trunks investigates the image with the others and discovers it is the exact vehicle he used, but from three years later in his timeline. He recognizes the craft because of the word 'Hope' that Bulma wrote on it. Kami realizes that the evil presence he sensed four years ago was not the androids, but rather the monster that traveled back in the time machine. This revelation shifts the understanding of the threat they face.
