Ep. 70: Cell Reveals His Origin and Escapes After Blinding His Enemies with Solar Flare

Cell explains his creation from the cells of Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, King Cold, and Frieza, a project begun by Dr. Gero and continued for 24 years by his computer. He states that absorbing Androids #17 and #18 will grant him a Perfect Form, making him invincible as predicted by Dr. Gero's computer to be the most powerful being in the known universe. Having traveled to the present in Trunks' time machine after killing him, Cell realizes he cannot win against the arriving Trunks and Krillin. He blinds everyone using Tien's Solar Flare technique and flees. Piccolo regenerates his arm and informs Vegeta and Tien of the situation. Meanwhile, Cell heads toward Nickytown to absorb more people until his power exceeds that of the androids'.
