Ep. 17: Pan's Birth Sparks Family Debate as Goku Begins Training with Whis

Following Pan’s birth, Chi-Chi opposes martial arts training, preferring she be raised as a lady rather than a fighter like Goku. Despite persuasion from family and friends, she remains firm. The dynamic shifts when Bulma reveals Vegeta has been training with Whis for six months, shocking Goku. Whis soon returns to Earth to enjoy its cuisine. Goku approaches Whis and requests to become his pupil, a proposal Whis accepts as an ideal opportunity for Goku to train alongside Vegeta. As they prepare to depart, Chi-Chi intervenes to stop Goku from leaving. However, Goku ultimately departs with Whis regardless of her objections. Chi-Chi eventually changes her mind, rationalizing that Goku will return once he becomes hungry.
