Ep. 35: Vegeta is defeated by Great Ape Gohan and spared by Goku before leaving Earth.

Yajirobe interrupts Vegeta’s attempt to kill Gohan, allowing the Saiyan to transform into a Great Ape under Goku’s direction. Uncontrolled, Gohan attacks Vegeta, who severs his tail mid-air. Gohan falls onto Vegeta, crushing him before reverting to normal. Defeated and injured, Vegeta summons his spaceship while Krillin tries to finish him off. Goku intervenes, urging mercy to potentially change the Saiyan Prince. Vegeta escapes Earth, vowing revenge. The Z Fighters win the battle, but the victory comes at the heavy cost of losing Piccolo, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Kami, and the Dragon Balls.
