Ep. 12: Aoba confronts Ren's origins and the worm while defeating Toue and Sei in a Rhyme Battle.

Aoba uses Scrap to communicate with Ren, whose consciousness is deteriorating due to a worm infection. Ren explains he was created as Aoba's restraint to monitor his desire, but transferred into an Allmate dog body after losing internal influence. Past memory tampering by Virus and Trip caused Ren to forget his purpose until the infection occurred. Feeling inferior as an older model, Ren prepares to disappear, but Aoba refuses to let him go. The pair then defeats Toue and his Allmate Usui in a Rhyme Battle. Following Toue's suicide, Aoba accepts his other self as Sei destroys the remaining threat. Mink's Allmate Tori evacuates Aoba from the collapsing Oval Tower. One year later, Aoba receives an anonymous message leading him to a hospital, where he reunites with Ren, who now inhabits Sei's body.
