Ep. 9: Clear reveals his face to Aoba and fights androids to protect him from Toue's control.

Aoba and an injured Noiz are ambushed by Morphine members, but Clear appears and easily defeats them. When one man tries to hurt Aoba, Clear violently beats him until Aoba stops him, allowing the attacker to throw acid on Clear and escape. At their lodging, Clear refuses to remove his mask, explaining his grandfather told him never to show his face because it was not normal. Aoba assures Clear he would not hate him and takes off his own mask, revealing Clear's normal-looking face. Later, strange music causes Aoba pain, and Clear explains Toue uses Dye Music to brainwash people. Clear questions Ren about his loyalty, while Koujaku and Noiz rest. Aoba and Clear visit Oval Tower, where they are confronted by masked figures called the Alphas, who reveal they share Clear's face and were sent by Toue to dispose of him. Clear cannot fight due to a safety mechanism, but he fries his circuits to attack them. Aoba learns Clear considers him his Master because his voice resembles Toue's. On a rooftop, the Alphas mock Clear, who rebuffs them by stating he enjoys emotions. Determined to protect Aoba, Clear stabs himself to remove the safety mechanism. Aoba briefly uses Scrap on Clear before letting him destroy the Alphas with his Jellyfish Song. Gravely damaged, Clear collapses in Aoba's arms, calls him by name, and shuts down. Outside Platinum Jail, Mink and his gang prepare to smuggle weapons.
