At Platinum Jail's tenth anniversary, Aoba and Koujaku encounter Ryuho, a tattoo artist who forces a tattoo on Aoba to observe the results. Koujaku intervenes, revealing he is Ryuho's former subject and killed him after enduring painful procedures ordered by his yakuza father. Aoba enters Koujaku's mind, witnessing his traumatic past and subsequent rampage that claimed his mother's life. Koujaku admits he survived to see Aoba again, and Aoba helps him overcome his guilt. Afterward, they rest and recall their childhood. Ryuho survives long enough to report the experiment's success to Toue. Later, Aoba spots a mysterious figure in the living room while searching for Ren.
