Ep. 10: Facing Self-Imposed Challenges in the Underground Duel Arena

After receiving their duel passes, the group trains until Dr. Root deceives them into an underground facility where they face robotic duplicates of themselves. Dr. Root reveals this as a final test, forcing each participant to duel their mirror image using a randomly assigned deck rather than their own. Shobu receives Hakuoh’s deck, while Hakuoh gets Shobu’s; similarly, Boy George and Mimi swap decks. Initially losing to their identical robots, they adapt to the unfamiliar cards and win on their second attempts. Emerging from the facility in order of Hakuoh, Shobu, Boy George, and Mimi, they are congratulated by Dr. Root and Knight as ready for the finals. Dr. Root concludes by asking if they have come to understand themselves through this experience.
