Unable to retrieve Falin's bones or a necromancer, Marcille uses dragon flesh to resurrect her friend, revealing her mastery of Ancient Black Magic. After Falin recovers, the group bathes while Laios worries about the ascent and Chilchuck struggles with Marcille's illegal spell. Senshi prepares to cook the dragon, but leaked fuel causes a massive explosion. Falin saves everyone by casting magic without incantation. The party then enjoys dragon meat dishes, with Laios thrilled that Falin accepts eating monsters. Laios also hints at a secret regarding Kensuke, which he keeps for now. That night, another elf discovers the dragon corpse and traces of Marcille's forbidden magic.
