Ep. 8: Marcille reflects on dungeon design while the party faces Undine attacks and culinary disputes.

Marcille contemplates the ecological impact of adventurers, recalling her academy days when she naively believed she could design a safe, balanced dungeon. She contrasts her own rigid approach with Falin’s chaotic but effective method of sneaking into real dungeons, which revealed the delicate complexity of such ecosystems. This realization instilled deep respect for the dungeon’s creator, despite his alleged insanity. Meanwhile, Chilchuck calculates that the dragon is two days away and adjusts their sleep schedule. Marcille feels lonely and resents former party members who left after Falin’s death. Her mood worsens when she accidentally provokes an Undine, forcing her to flee until she exhausts her magic recovering from blood loss. Senshi feeds her iron-rich grilled kelpie liver to aid recovery, but Marcille is angered when the others consume the tastier meat, leaving her with only the liver. Another party detects the cooking scent and approaches with curiosity.
