Ep. 9: Marcille seeks to restore her magic by consuming the Undine while the party faces new dangers.

The group travels with gnome researchers Mr. and Mrs. Tansu, bodyguards Kaka and Kiki, and former member Namari. Marcille resents Namari’s presence, but the Tansus’ arrogance leads to Namari’s death and Kiki’s injury by a tentacle monster. After defeating the creature, Senshi notes that tentacles pair well with vinegar. With the Undine requiring a week to calm down, the Tansus plan to return to the surface. Laios attempts to send Marcille with them, but she refuses. She asks Namari to rejoin the party, though financial constraints prevent it. To recover her magic, Marcille decides to eat the Undine. Senshi provides his adamant cooking pot and lid as shields. Namari and Senshi trap and boil the Undine, allowing Marcille to prepare a kelpie and tentacle stew. Before leaving, Laios asks Namari about Shuro, who she believes is also trying to rescue Falin.
