The group finds an abandoned dining hall where paintings are Living Picture monsters. Laios tests if the depicted food is edible by entering the art, observing Prince Delgal’s history and an elf who mistakes him for an assassin. The food proves fake, leaving the party hungry. Chilchuck hides a Mimic sighting due to his hatred of the creatures. That night, a Treasure Bug lures him into the Mimic’s lair, but he escapes and crushes the beast. Senshi boils the Mimic in salt water, treating it as a giant crab. Chilchuck eats it reluctantly, admitting he is 29 years old, which makes Laios the youngest member.
