Ep. 3: Shinra faces Joker at the Rookie Fire Soldier games who reveals Sho is alive

During the Rookie Fire Soldier games, Shinra encounters Leonard Burns, who denies involvement in the fire that destroyed Shinra's home and family twelve years ago. The competition requires participants to navigate a booby-trapped building to reach a crewman disguised as an Infernal. Shinra flies to the top and meets a mysterious man who triggers mini-explosions with ash to defeat him. This man, later identified as Joker, reveals that Shinra's younger brother Sho is still alive and invites Shinra to join him to learn the truth about the Fire Force. After Arthur and Tamaki arrive, Joker makes a final offer. Later, Shinra questions his Captain, Akitaru, about the organization. Akitaru explains that the Fire Force relies on Hajima and that the different companies operate independently without sharing information on human combustion, noting that Company 8 was established specifically to investigate companies 1 through 7.
