Ep. 7: Captain Burns Begins Investigation While Shinra Spars with Company One
Captain Leonard Burns of Company 1 assembles Lieutenant priests Huo Yan Li, Hoshimiya Rekka, and Flam Karim at Special Fire Grand Cathedral 1 due to suspicions regarding Captain Obi. Following a joint exercise with companies 5 and 8, members hold a BBQ. Obi meets with Hibana to confirm that Infernals are being created in the Shinjuku District, under Company 1 jurisdiction, and they agree to cooperate. Obi utilizes the rookie training reassignment system to embed Shinra and Arthur with Maki Oze and Takeru Noto from Company 2 into Company 1. Upon arrival, Shinra requests a sparring match, which Burns accepts. Takeru Noto fights Rekka, while Karim uses his sound-based ice ability to extinguish stray fireballs. Li and Karim withdraw, leaving Burns to face Shinra and Arthur alone. Burns easily defeats Arthur and deflects Shinra's strongest attacks, after which the defeated rookies are placed under Karim's care.
