The extraction has led to "D disasters," incidents involving demons that require private military companies to respond. Shuu leads a small PMC but struggles financially due to his spending. Kisara, a demon girl who works at Shuu's office, frequently expresses concern for him. She also attends high school in the city and handles various tasks with ease. Ayano, Shuu's former girlfriend, is a top-tier agent and was once a coworker at a major PMC he previously belonged to.
