After a dangerous test where Jack encourages him, Rick attempts the risky Spin Booster technique. During the Wave Panic race, The Skull plants a magic card on Jody Summer’s White Cat, causing it to attack Captain Falcon. Rick and Falcon cooperate to stop the possessed vehicle. Facing obstruction from The Skull’s minions, Rick activates the Spin Booster, gaining immense speed to secure first place. He later receives advice from Captain Falcon regarding boost timing, realizing the racer may be testing his skills.
