Oct 2, 2011Flashbacks reveal Kiritsugu Emiya and Irisviel von Einzbern welcoming daughter Ilyasviel eight years ago in Germany, while Kirei Kotomine prepares for the Holy Grail War three years ago under Tokiomi Tosaka. One year ago, Kariya Matou discovers Sakura Tousaka’s adoption by the Matou family in Fuyuki City and strikes a deal with Zouken to gain power. In the present, Kayneth Archibald El-Melloi humiliates student Waver Velvet, prompting Waver to steal an artifact to join the conflict. As participants like Kirei and Kiritsugu confront their unknown motives, Irisviel hopes for King Arthur. However, Kiritsugu fears Arthur’s chivalry conflicts with his pragmatism. When Kiritsugu, Tokiomi, Kariya, and Waver summon their servants, Kiritsugu and Irisviel are stunned to discover the summoned Saber class King Arthur is a woman.

Oct 9, 2011Waver faces difficulties commanding his Servant Rider, who prioritizes conquering the modern world over the War. Saber holds a negative view of Kiritsugu but is surprised by his tender interaction with his daughter Ilya. She acknowledges their shared desire to save the world, mirroring her own goal to protect Britain. Meanwhile, serial killer Ryuunosuke Uryuu murders a family to summon a demon, accidentally binding the servant Caster. Caster deceives Uryuu and kills the intended child sacrifice with a monstrous entity. Delighted by Caster's sadism, Uryuu pledges himself as a Master. In response to the selection of the seventh Master, Kirei tasks Assassin with eliminating Tokiomi. However, Assassin fails in his attempt to breach the mansion and is slain by Tokiomi’s servant, Archer.
EP 3Kirei’s Deception and Saber’s Encounter with Lancer in Fuyuki
Oct 16, 2011Kirei claims to resign from the war after Assassin’s elimination, gaining asylum from Risei in a ruse by Kirei, Risei, and Tokiomi. Assassin is actually dozens of people, allowing Kirei to spy on rivals undetected. Waver tells Rider about Assassin’s demise, but Rider only wants to defeat President Clinton, acquire military weapons, and have fun. Saber and Iri arrive in Fuyuki City to meet Kiritsugu but choose to tour instead, as it is Iri’s first time abroad. Kiritsugu meets assistant Maiya Hisau, who confirms other Masters believe Iri is Saber’s Master and has smuggled necessary guns, including his Contender pistol. While Iri enjoys the beach, Saber senses another Servant at the harbor. They encounter Lancer, who challenges Saber to a duel.

Oct 23, 2011Saber and Lancer engage in combat, exchanging compliments on their chivalry. Kiritsugu and Maiya observe from a distance, with Kiritsugu identifying Lancer’s hidden Master. Before he can take a shot, Kiritsugu notices Assassin, who is broadcasting the battle to Kirei and Tokiomi. Lancer’s Master commands him to deploy his Noble Phantasms: Gae Dearg, an anti-magic spear, and Gae Buidhe, a cursed spear causing unhealable wounds. Saber identifies Lancer as Diarmuid of the Love Spot from these weapons. Lancer reveals Saber’s identity by using Gae Dearg to dispel the invisibility on her sword. With her left tendon injured by Gae Buidhe, Saber prepares to fight harder, but Rider interrupts the clash by riding his chariot down to the harbor.
EP 5Rider confronts Saber and Lancer while Archer battles Berserker in a complex skirmish.
Oct 30, 2011Rider introduces himself to Saber and Lancer, requesting they join his forces, but both refuse. Kayneth, Lancer’s Master, appears to mock Waver, prompting Rider to defend him. Archer and Berserker then engage in combat. Berserker, a Black Knight shrouded in fog that obscures his power, evades Archer’s Gate of Babylon attacks while wielding Archer’s own weapons. Fearing further exposure of his Noble Phantasm, Tokiomi uses a Command Seal to order Archer’s withdrawal, angering the Servant. Berserker targets Saber, revealing his ability to transform weapons into Noble Phantasms. Lancer defends Saber out of chivalry, but Kayneth forces him to aid Berserker via a Command Spell. Rider incapacitates Berserker and warns Kayneth to retreat or face Saber’s alliance. After the retreat, Rider promises not to duel Saber or Lancer until their conflict ends. Meanwhile, Caster observes the fight, believing Saber is his lost love, while Kirei learns the church is under surveillance.
EP 6Night of Schemes
Nov 6, 2011Iri and Saber encounter Caster while traveling to Einzbern Castle, where Saber corrects his mistaken belief that she is Jeanne d'Arc. Caster retreats, convinced she has amnesia. Meanwhile, Kayneth reprimands Lancer for his failure, but Sola-Ui Nuada-Re Sophia-Ri defends him, having fallen for his magic love spot. Kayneth realizes Saber's Master is targeting them and orders an evacuation. Kiritsugu and Maiya subsequently destroy the hotel with explosives. Maiya evades capture by Kirei using a smoke bomb provided by Kiritsugu. Later, the Assassins report that Caster and Uryuu are kidnapping and sacrificing children. Risei expresses disgust at these pointless murders and the threat to the war's secrecy. Finally, Archer persuades Kirei to spy on the other Masters to uncover their motivations and his own desires.

Nov 13, 2011Risei announces a temporary suspension of the war to focus on destroying Caster, whose child killings draw public scrutiny, offering an extra Command Spell as incentive. At Einzbern Castle, Kiritsugu intends to exploit the Caster hunt to strike other Masters, ignoring Saber’s objections to prioritize stopping the atrocities. Kiritsugu reveals his desire to flee with Iri and their daughter for a peaceful life. Iri senses Caster’s approach with more victims and dispatches Saber. Saber is ambushed by summoned monsters until Lancer arrives to assist. Meanwhile, Iri and Maiya depart the castle. Kayneth, having survived the hotel bombing using his Volumen Hydragyrum, infiltrates the site to duel Saber’s Master. Kiritsugu evades Kayneth with his Calico M950 and launches a surprise assault using his Contender pistol.

Simultaneously, Kiritsugu injures Kayneth with his Contender pistol, prompting Kayneth to strengthen Hydragyrum defenses. Saber and Lancer battle endless demonic summons from Caster’s grimoire until Lancer destroys the book with Gae Dearg, forcing Caster to retreat. Kiritsugu ambushes the injured Kayneth again, using anti-magic bullets that amplify the damage through Hydragyrum. Lancer rescues his master while Saber intervenes to save Iri from Kirei. After learning of Saber’s approach, Kirei stabs Iri and escapes. Iri survives due to the magical healing scabbard Avalon implanted within her and proceeds to heal Maiya.
EP 9Kayneth loses his magic and Servant while Waver discovers Caster's gruesome crimes
Nov 27, 2011Kayneth awakens bound, learning Kiritsugu destroyed his Magic Circuits, forcing him to surrender Lancer to Sola. Though Lancer prefers loyalty to Kayneth, Sola manipulates him into continuing the war. Meanwhile, Kiritsugu pursues Kayneth against Saber and Iri's wishes to stop Caster. Waver and Rider locate Caster's lair, discovering mutilated corpses. Rider eliminates an Assassin targeting Waver and repels others before burning the site. Upon learning of their discovery, Tokiomi instructs Kirei to deploy Assassins to spy on Waver and Rider.
EP 10Rin investigates kidnappings in Fuyuki City and confronts Uryuu to save Kotone.
Dec 4, 2011Tokiomi’s daughter Rin, determined to become a mage, leaves her safety to investigate the Fuyuki City Kidnappings. After her father sends her away due to the upcoming Holy Grail War, she discovers her friend Kotone has been abducted. Using a mana detector from Tokiomi, Rin locates Uryuu, who is hypnotizing children with a magic bracelet. She destroys the device by overloading it with mana, freeing the victims. On her way home, Rin is attacked by a monster belonging to Caster. Kariya intervenes to save her and returns her to Aoi. Meanwhile, Kirei, observing through Assassin, instructs Kariya to continue monitoring his activities. This sequence highlights Rin’s resolve and the dangerous undercurrents of the city during the war.
EP 11Rider and Saber debate kingship ideals before Rider summons his army to defeat the Assassins.
Dec 11, 2011Rider and Waver unexpectedly arrive at Einzbern Castle to discuss kingship and their wishes for the Grail with Saber and Archer. Saber argues that a king must serve his people selflessly, hoping to use the Grail to save Britain. Rider criticizes this view, claiming her emotional distance caused dissatisfaction among her subjects, and proposes that people should serve a king whose ambitious nature inspires them. The conversation is interrupted by the arrival of the Assassins. After they reject Rider's invitation to join the feast, he summons his Noble Phantasm, Ionian Hetairoi, an army of loyal soldiers who became Servants. Rider and his forces easily defeat every Assassin. Following the battle, Rider tells Saber he no longer recognizes her as a king and leaves. A conflicted Saber later reveals to Iri that one of her knights left Camelot due to dissatisfaction with her rule.
EP 12Tokiomi and Kirei plan to let Rider attack others first while Kiritsugu reviews intel
Dec 18, 2011Tokiomi and Kirei learn of Rider's Noble Phantasm from Assassins and decide to let him engage other Servants first. Maiya transports Iri and Saber to a new headquarters, where Saber notices Iri's odd behavior, leading Iri to admit her powers have weakened. Kiritsugu reviews intel on other contestants' locations. Archer questions Kirei about his spying, noting his unusual interest in Kariya despite Kariya's minimal threat. Archer concludes Kirei enjoys others' suffering. Kirei initially resists but eventually acknowledges his dark nature, causing Command Spells to reappear on his hand, confirming he remains a contestant. With no Servant, Archer hints that Kirei should kill another Master and take their Servant.
EP 13Caster and Uryuu plan a grand spectacle for God after their artwork is destroyed.
Dec 25, 2011Caster and Uryuu return to their lair to find their artwork destroyed by Rider's fire. Uryuu comforts Caster by suggesting God is merely a spectator enjoying human actions. Impressed, Caster plans a grand spectacle for God. Meanwhile, Waver doubts his worthiness as Rider's Master, but Rider encourages him. Waver, Rider, Saber, and Iri detect magic near the Mion River and witness Caster summoning a giant demonic monster. Rider alerts the other contestants, leading to a temporary alliance to stop Caster before his monster destroys the city. Rider leads the vanguard, Saber joins him, and Lancer uses his spears to create an opening against Caster.
