Figure 17 assists D.D. and Orudina in destroying the Maguar, prompting Orudina to acknowledge the necessity of Tsubasa and Hikaru’s support. Testing new weaponry takes a severe physical and mental toll on Tsubasa. She secretly accompanies Sho to a balloon festival, where they share a ride. Following the event, Tsubasa confesses her romantic feelings for Sho. Later, a Maguar appears, but Figure 17 employs the new Carion Blade to breach its shell, allowing D.D. and Orudina to eliminate the threat. Several days after these events, Miss Hibino informs the class that Sho has died.
