Ep. 23: Fujita visits London with Sara and meets Charlie at an auction
Aired on June 19, 2005

23
Fujita joins Sara for a brief vacation at her London villa to escape the Japanese summer. During shopping, Fujita encounters Charlie from Sotheby's, who mistakes Sara for his partner. Sara feels slighted when Fujita introduces her merely as a secretary. Charlie invites them to an auction of actress Janet Houston's estate, where he asks Sara to model jewelry and clothes, concealing a burn on her arm with makeup. Fujita barely recognizes her transformed appearance. Charlie later introduces Sara to Mary, whom he regards as a mother, at Kew Gardens. Meanwhile, Harry Donaldson offers Fujita a stolen herbarium page by Charles Darwin. The episode concludes with Charlie proposing to Sara that evening.
