Mohorito Chinen damages a Maitreya statue at Tengakuji temple in Iwate Prefecture. He contacts Fujita for repairs, but the statue is transported to Kyoto for a festival. Fujita recruits counterfeiter Kido to copy a swipe card and open the truck doors. While Chinen attempts to delay the vehicle, Fujita successfully repairs the damage and escapes unnoticed. This intervention saves Chinen’s professional reputation, leaving him permanently indebted to Fujita for resolving the crisis.
