The surviving Gantz participants pursue Muroto and Ryuji but are defeated individually. Furuta attempts to negotiate with Muroto, who deceives him, resulting in Saito’s death and Nozaki’s severe injury. Nozaki is subsequently shot and killed by Ryuji. Furuta is then assassinated by Muroto using an explosive device. Ryuji, having attached explosives to his own body, detonates them in an attempt to kill Kei. Ryuji perishes in the blast, while Kei’s survival status remains uncertain.
