Ep. 8: Katou and Sakuraoka fall to the statue while Kei survives with minimal points

Katou shoots Kei’s leg to halt corrosion, leaving him immobile as the statue kills three additional players. Sakuraoka defends Kei by kicking acid back at the alien, burning half its body, but the statue kills Sakuraoka next. Katou steals an alien sword to destroy the statue, yet the creature pierces his heart in a final move. Kei is transported back into the room, weeping for his lost friends. He scores only 8 points, bringing his total to 46. He leaves the room completely alone, having survived the encounter with minimal gains and heavy emotional distress.
