Ep. 7: Katou mourns while Hojo's group falls to aliens and Kishimoto sacrifices herself to save Katou.

Katou discovers a deceased homeless man and collapses in grief, prompting Kei to remind him of his brother's dependence on him. Elsewhere, Hojo’s group encounters a significantly larger alien force and is entirely wiped out in combat, leaving Hojo and his stalker to share a final kiss. During the battle, an alien sprays acid at Katou, but Kishimoto intercepts the attack, dying to save him. This loss causes Kei to break his composure and assault the remaining statues. Although an alien injures Kei by burning off an arm and a leg, Sakuraoka rescues him. After a successful retreat, Kei requests that Katou shoot him to end his suffering.
