Ep. 18: Hougen kills his brother Genba and defeats Kamakiri's army through Weed's tactical deception.

At Gajou, Hougen mourns his brother Genba, who has become brain-damaged and aggressive. Hougen mercifully kills Genba, fulfilling their promise to end each other's suffering, before executing his own army for their fear. Meanwhile, Weed introduces his forces to Ben and Cross, and the Ohu army spots Kamakiri's forces tracking them. Weed devises a plan with Rocket to lure Kamakiri into a ravine, using terrain and illusions to feign a larger army. Kamakiri, deceived by the perceived numbers and reinforcements from Moss and Musashi, retreats in fear. Weed is then reunited with Jerome, who had separated from the group. Despite their shared history and mutual tears, Jerome departs with his Shikoku dogs, leaving Weed in emotional turmoil as they move apart.
