Ep. 16: Ohu army returns to Koga village while Akame stops female dog capture and Jerome kills assassins.

The Ohu army returns to Koga village, intending to keep Kyoshiro’s pups, but Teru refuses to stay for battle. Weed persuades the pups to remain with the Koga elder by explaining the reality of death. Tesshin and his ninja dogs join the Ohu forces. At Ohu, Akame discovers Genba’s minions capturing female dogs for Hougen and alerts the army. He takes Kurotora and Hook to stop the hunt while sending Mel to warn Weed. Mel encounters Hougen’s army transporting an injured Gin, witnessing some Ohu soldiers defect. The Ohu army attacks Hougen’s hut in the Alps but finds it empty. Assassins Lecter and Thunder ambush Weed and Tesshin inside. Weed disables Lecter, and Tesshin ejects them. Kyoshiro wants to execute them, but Weed spares them on condition they never serve Hougen again. Jerome follows the assassins and murders Lecter and Thunder before Weed. Enraged by this disobedience, Weed exiles Jerome. Kyoshiro and his pack leave, believing Weed is weak, but Jerome proves his loyalty to Weed’s judgment and departs to recruit more dogs from Shikoku.
