Ep. 43: Reuenthal’s Attrition Strategy and the Hyperion Feint During Operation Ragnarok
Aired on October 11, 1991

43
Reuenthal initiates a war of attrition against Iserlohn, observing the Hyperion, Yang’s flagship, depart the port. He orders his fleet to rush and destroy the vessel, but this maneuver is a feint. The Rosen Ritter, commanded by Schenkopp, board Reuenthal’s flagship and engage in combat. The skirmish ends in a draw, prompting Schenkopp to withdraw. Reuenthal resumes his attrition plan by rotating attack forces in small groups. On December 9, 798 S.C. / 489 I.C., the second phase of Operation Ragnarok launches from the Empire homeworld.
