Ep. 46: Admiral Yang Abandons Iserlohn Fortress After Strategic Shifts
Aired on November 1, 1991

46
On January 9, 799 S.C., Admiral Yang decides to abandon the Iserlohn fortress after the Imperial fleet broke through Phezzan space, rendering the location strategically obsolete as a choke point. Although the structure could withstand the war, a peace treaty might force a retreat into Empire territory. Yang’s fleet prepares explosives and a final surprise before evacuating all staff and civilians. Following this withdrawal, 490 Reuenthal successfully retakes the Iserlohn fortress, marking the end of the defensive stand without further combat engagement at the site.
