Ep. 72: The Battle of Mar-Adetta Starzone concludes with Imperial victory and strategic reconsideration
Aired on November 16, 1994

Bucock’s fleet advances through Müller’s forces while being pursued and surrounded by numerous enemy units. Unable to charge and kill Reinhard, Bucock’s Alliance fleet faces Hilde’s advice for surrender. Instead, Alliance officers toast to friendship and democracy before the Imperial fleet decimates the remaining ships. The Imperial victory celebration ends abruptly upon learning of Lutz’s defeat at Iserlohn. This news alters the strategic landscape, as Phezzan’s potential fall would have cut Imperial supply lines. Reinhard may have underestimated Iserlohn’s importance. Hilde counters the panic by noting Yang would not sacrifice allies for a stall. Consequently, Imperial forces resume their course for Heinessen.
