Following the departure of deserters from Iserlohn, Reuenthal establishes himself as governor of the former alliance territories by appointing numerous officials. Meanwhile, Julian reflects on Yang as the embodiment of democratic spirit and acknowledges the historical efficacy of terrorism to make Yang's death practically meaningful. Discussions with Katerose regarding Fredrica occur alongside these events. On August 8th, Space Calendar 800, New Imperial Year 2, the Iserlohn republic is officially established. The demographic disparity is stark, with the Empire holding 40 billion people compared to Iserlohn's 940,000 residents.
