During a morning astrology broadcast, Ms. Ketsuno predicts that Virgos with goatees brushing their teeth will die that day. Kondou, watching while brushing, sighs wryly as Matsudaira bursts in firing his gun. The Shinsengumi’s connection to the Rengokukan has been exposed, resulting in a summons to the castle. Kondou becomes panicked upon learning he might be assassinated before reaching the destination, especially after Hijikata and Okita act impulsively. Suspecting everyone around him is a potential threat, Matsudaira recruits Sachan as a defensive measure against assassins. This sequence of events initiates a perilous journey to the castle, marked by high tension and uncertainty regarding Kondou’s safety.
