Lui journeys to meet his father, whereas Orphe falls into the river. Ed grows concerned about Orphe's absence and consults Lui, who discloses details regarding the plan to assassinate the king. Ed realizes that protecting the monarch takes precedence over Orphe's immediate safety and agrees to assist Lui in thwarting the attack. Meanwhile, Orphe fights for survival in the water, facing a critical choice between continuing to struggle for his life or surrendering to join his beloved sister once more.
