Isaac visits an old friend to request a recommendation letter for admission to Rosenstolz. Posing as a foreign writer covering the academy, he interviews students but expresses disappointment with the Strahl class. He shares his past experiences as a soldier with them. Meanwhile, an intruder breaks into the headmaster's office, prompting Orphe and Lui to pursue the suspect. The chase ends with Orphe and Lui becoming locked inside a warehouse. Isaac encounters other undercover agents similar to himself and declines their offer of hush money. His primary motivation is to ensure the safety and release of Lui and Orphe from their confinement.
